The Impacts of employees¡¯ job satisfactions on job performances in travel agencies

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to give some suggestions which may be helpful for the improvement of results of managements of travel agencies by checking the differences between groups of employees and studying relationships between job satisfactions and job performance. This purpose is achieved by empirical as well as theoretical analysis of job satisfaction of travel agency employees and their job performances. I make an empirical analysis for travel agency employees, setting up hypotheses, based on the theoretical studies of the importance and roles of travel agency employees, and their job satisfactions and job performances. I can make the following suggestions. First, the results show that the factors of job satisfactions pointed out by former researchers hold in this research. Kinds of job, colleagues, salary, supervisors, and promotion are shown to affect job satisfaction, which implies that the realization of these factors in a concrete manner may improve the job satisfaction of travel agency employees. Secondly, group differences in factors of job satisfaction like kinds of job, colleagues, salary, supervisors, and promotion show according to personal background of employees like sex and department. There fore, they should take the personal backgrounds of employees into considerations when they hire new employees, make a placement of them, and train them in travel agencies. Thirdly, the regression analysis shows that job satisfaction affects job performance. The factors of job satisfaction like kinds of job, colleagues, salary, supervisors, and promotion are shown to affect the factors of job performance like commitment, job attitude and ability. Travel agency is a business of which employees feel less psychological stability than those of any other business. So it is necessary that the company try to form business culture and working conditions to improve the job satisfaction of employees.
